Context, in architecture, can refer to different scales – from the immediate neighbourhood of the site to the global scale of the selected theme – and it can be decoded through parameters that are as varied as they are numerous. The complexity of the decoding process consists in identifying correlations between the various contextual layers and in the superposition of analysis parameters that demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the realities that make up the context. The book discusses the vastness and relevance of the analysed layers, within a well-framed context, as the basis for coherent and intricate architectural solutions.
